About SteerWorld
A global technology and engineering company specializing in materials transformation and continuous manufacturing across industries including plastics, polymers, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food processing, biomaterials, and biorefining. Driven by innovation, STEER’s mission centers on improving quality of life while advancing sustainable industrial solutions.
Problem statement
STEER partnered with us to reimagine their website as a scalable digital platform that could accurately represent the breadth of their capabilities. The existing website struggled with:
Fragmented navigation and unclear content hierarchy
Difficulty showcasing a large and technically diverse product ecosystem
Inconsistent visual patterns across pages
Limited scalability for future product and business expansion
The core challenge was not visual redesign alone — it was structuring complexity into clarity while maintaining credibility for a highly technical global audience.
As part of the redesign, we approached the project through a systems-first design lens, focusing on long-term usability and scalability rather than cosmetic change.
Information Architecture Redesign
We restructured the website around user intent and industry pathways, creating a clearer relationship between products, solutions, and applications. This reduced cognitive load and improved discoverability.
Navigation Simplification
A streamlined navigation model was introduced to help users quickly understand STEER’s offerings despite the breadth of categories.
Evolutionary Visual Design
Instead of a disruptive redesign, we proposed a minimal evolution of the existing visual language. This preserved brand familiarity while modernizing presentation and improving clarity.
Component-Driven Design System
We established consistent, reusable UI components that enabled:
Cross-page consistency
Faster future expansion
Easier content management
Design scalability across new business verticals
Led structural thinking around information hierarchy and navigation patterns
Defined scalable component behaviors and layout systems
Balanced business goals with usability and technical clarity
Ensured design decisions supported long-term maintainability rather than short-term aesthetics
Key Benefits
Improved accessibility to complex product information
Stronger articulation of STEER’s innovation and engineering leadership
Consistent brand experience across the platform
Reduced friction in user journeys through clearer pathways
A scalable foundation ready for future product additions and digital initiatives
